Filters
The site selector, the "Filter" pill and the "Compare" pill are the three global filters of the dashboard. Every card respects them.
Site selector
If your account manages several sites, the top-left menu shows the active site. Clicking it opens the list of accessible sites. Switching site reloads every card on the current tab.
"Filter" pill — period and granularity
Seven presets, plus a custom mode:
- Today — from the start of the local day until now.
- 24h — rolling last 24 hours.
- 7 days — rolling last week.
- 30 days (default) — rolling month.
- 90 days — rolling quarter (retention limit for raw events).
- 12 months — rolling year. Beyond 90 days, the curves rely on daily aggregates (25-month retention).
- Custom — two-date calendar (from… to…).
The pill also exposes the granularity of the chart (auto / hour / day / week / month / year). In auto mode the granularity is picked based on the window length, while staying consistent with the active GDPR retention policy (90 days for raw events, 25 months for aggregates).
"Compare" pill
Three modes:
- None (default) — no delta shown, no compare tooltip.
- Previous period — the window of the same length immediately before. e.g. 30d → compared to the previous 30d.
- Previous year (YoY) — the same window, one year earlier. Backed by the long-term aggregates (25 months).
See Period comparison.
Timezone
The dashboard renders dates and times in your user timezone (set from _My account_). The "Filter" pill sends its bounds to the server in UTC; the browser reconverts to your TZ for display.
Card-local filters
Some cards expose internal filters (e.g. the page selector on the Behavior section, or the Countries / Cities sub-tab on Audience). These filters are non-persistent: they apply to the current session. To freeze a view, use the "Download all data (CSV ZIP)" button at the top of the dashboard — it preserves the period and ships one CSV per view.
